From removing foreign investment restrictions in the manufacturing sector to facilitating visa-free access, China is unleashing the potential of domestic and external demand through high-level opening-up. Meanwhile, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is further enhancing global connectivity via the China-Europe Railway Express, the Digital Silk Road and green development projects – helping countries improve infrastructure, promote technological cooperation and expand development capacity.

In this edition of BizTalk, CGTN‘s Michael Wang speaks with Yang Hangjun, associate dean at the School of International Trade and Economics at the University of International Business and Economics, and Xu Tianqi, deputy director of the International Department at the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University of China. Together, they explore how China’s high-level opening-up and the BRI are working in synergy to build a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable framework for global cooperation.
